The location was beautiful and gorgeous in a great area, near the mountains with huge mature trees. The retreat is close to a golf course that serves breakfast in the golfer hole. It was only 1 mile from Castle Creek Country Club.

It seems as though one is in a remote or at least rural area and yet it is close to anything one may want i.e. Shopping, dininng, wine tasting, golf, etc.

All and all it was great, everything about the room was great, my woman had a different opinion, as she noticed the lamp shade was dusty and had spider webs on the inside of the shade, go figure, us guys don't notice stuff like that. Oh ya, during a nightly walk as we we're checking the place out, we came accross several hot tubs scattered throughout the resort, needless to say, we found one that was perfect for us, who knows, you might find one for yourselves, definiatly check it out, southern california, september, hot tub, what gets better than that ?

The location of the hotel was convenient to the freeway, Temecula wine country, casinos and scenic driving. Beds and decor were new and the bed was quite comfortable. The pool and soaking tubs were inviting. Golf course bar and small restaurant were just a short walk away if you didn't want to drive anywhere. Just a little tip. The front desk clerk Jennifer told us about a fabulous lobster buffet at the Valley View casino nearby. We don't gamble at all but she advised that if you join their players club which took about 5 minutes you can get a one time free buffet worth $32.00. Great food, even better deal!
The hotel was a little dated & only had the european portable air conditioners. We first had a suite with vaulted ceilings and with 100 degree weather it did not cool the room. We moved to a smaller room & the air conditioner eventually cooled the room.

The traffic noise was noticable most of the time. Instead of 3 towels I would suggest 4 towels. When we went to the pool we did not have dry towels to bath with. Instructions for the air/heat pump would also be helpful. Was not sure what some of the icons met? Snow flakes for cool or heat ? But all in all very nice place and would like to come back again.

The view from our balcony was really nice, and it was a plus that it had a fridge and microwave. , they gave us free coffee vouchers for a nearby coffee shop which was great. It was easy to find since it was near the highway, and it was nice and peaceful.
Our room hadn't been updated in a while, it definitely needed some attention. The shower wasn't that great and the TV was old.

We loved the serene wooded surroundings of this hotel, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The pool and live band at the hotel's restaurant were a hit with our kids. The rooms had a homely feel and the staff was helpful. Also, the golf course next door served delicious breakfast at the Gopher Hole.
No complaints.
